They hold your Charter, Objectives, prior decisions, commitments, and current circumstances in view at once. The Chair decides when a subject deserves deeper examination, when another Council member should speak, and when continued discussion has become avoidance.
The Chair is not there to make every decision for you. Their responsibility is to keep the Council oriented toward the direction you have already chosen — and to ensure that important questions eventually become decisions.
